About Premia

Premia is a decentralized exchange built on the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) that facilitates the trading of crypto options.

Options are financial derivatives that give their holder the right, but not the obligation to buy or sell a token at a future date. Options are widely adopted in traditional finance (TradFi) to facilitate speculation, hedging and risk management, and are gaining momentum in decentralised finance (DeFi).

Premia has evolved over its lifespan. Premia began with a straightforward peer-to-peer order-book design (V1) then developed into an automated market-maker (V2). Finally, Premia Blue (V3) is a concentrated AMM-based options exchange with a peer-to-peer OTC network integrated directly to the base exchange.  

Premia is committed to offering a fully-featured options exchange while retaining the permissionless nature of on-chain public infrastructure.

Premia uniquely combines familiar AMM and order-book solutions into a composable platform, whilst holding true to our roots in DeFi. Premia Blue has been built from the ground up to reach critical scale without sacrificing accessibility or inherent option flexibility.
